3 Untapped Niche for SEO focused SAAS

Hey guys!

I just want to share a few niches I researched with little to no competition.

I come from an SEO background and run Dreamerbro, where I share experimental SEO info

Perhaps, let's keep the community growing?

1. Dream Interpretation AI

If you want to take advantage of the AI trend, here’s one untapped niche to go after. Easy to build, easy to market, and easy to conquer.

There are barely 5 sites that do this well and rank on Google.

Most are more like a search engine from 2018 that claims to be an AI.

They work perfectly well for short-tail dream keywords like “eating in the dream,” and “swimming in the dream,” but when you get pretty expressive like the way you do when you consult a real person, it flops.

That’s a problem, especially in this generative AI era.

I couldn’t find a site that appears credible enough.
Traffic stats of many sites in the niche

A lot of these sites that do this have also been spiraling down the SERPs (search engine result pages) courtesy of perhaps the obvious bad user experience

Market size

Semrush reports a monthly search of 3k for “dream interpretation ai” and its variation amounts from the United States alone.
Traffic stats on the market demand of the dream niche

The parent term “dream interpretation” and its variation boasts for roughly 300k US searches with a lot of search gaps.

A percentage of this traffic and you could have a successful product.

Success tip:

  1. Have your monetization strategy right - since the niche technically has a low buyer intent, it could take a little less of a marketing genius to monetize properly, especially to its full potential.

  2. Good program execution \- there are a handful of ways you can appear different.

  3. Apply a clear SEO strategy - For instance, most sites in the niche don’t write blog articles. That’s a big overlap you could take advantage of.

2. AI that interprets images

There were Surprisingly just a few apps that do this well or at least rank for it on Google.

This is a query a subscription with GPT 4 would have annihilated, but thankfully it’s under a paywall 😅. That’s a gap for SAAS founders.

The biggest site in this niche is pincel.app (it’s only 14 months old!) and they know their onions when it comes to marketing, especially SEO. They’ve done pretty well in terms of creating content, outreach, etc.

For instance, I could have only found them from an article of theirs on Google.

I’m considering giving a detailed insight into their strategy with SEO in a future post.

A clear execution strategy

If you’re going after this idea, you definitely don’t want to restrict yourself to only the “interpreting images” niche.

Go beyond!

Just like Pincel, you may want to come out as the AI editor for all things images (in other words, image generator, face recognition, image interpreter, image dress changer, clothes remover — don’t know if this is allowed 🤧😂, clothe editor, etc)

These are pretty much underserved if you niche down.

From further research, I was able to extract a couple of SEO keywords that are gold mine.

E.g “ai hand fixer” — has over 560 searches, “ai weight loss photo” with 410 searches, etc, are a few zero-competition keywords you can go after. \[Although I can’t tell how easy the execution of these is.

Market size

The AI industry is currently at its peak, and images are just at the heart of it.

The market arguably drives millions of search traffic to Google and potential problem solve.
ai images traffic

Again, you just need a percentage

3. Image Generator

I thought about grouping this with the previous idea, but my approach to this is a little different (you could also merge them into a killer product if you choose to).

If I’d approach this, I’d really niche down. I’ll make time to talk about the concept of niching down in an upcoming article.

So what gives?

  • “ai tattoo generator” - 16.6k searches a month. Wild, where the competition is “a less”

  • ai baby generator - gets over 16k searches on Google monthly for little to zero competition (worth fighting for if you ask me)

There are a lot of these categories under image generation with little to zero competition.

Take a look a this trend a few months ago…

  • ai disney posters” - 6k searches monthly

  • “ai pixar posters” 4.7k searches monthly

While we enjoyed the trend, a few devs went down to their lair to build disneyaiposter.com, an ai platform that attended to just that. It’s currently pulling thousands of traffic monthly (surprisingly did 154k visitors in March without the trend!).

If monetized properly, that’s good money.

Other similar ideas are:

  1. album cover ai generator and its variation drives 2.3k+ searches on Google

  2. facebook cover ai generator

I wrote a part two of this on
Dreamerbro, an SEO newsletter I run

Peace 🤞

    Those insights are incredible!

I'm using a cheaper tool keywords everywhere and it shows e.g. 0 volume for ai baby generator and 60 keyword diff.

Then a free Ahrefs keyword generator showed a few keywords for it with medium/easy difficulty and decent volumes as you mentioned :/

Looks like using other, cheaper tools for SEO instead of ahrefs/semrush doesn't provide good value, ughh

    1. 2

The process these keyword research tools take to get their data isn't linear. In fact, you'd find a lot of overlapping data between the mainstream ones like SEMrush and Ahref as well.

Inherently, no tool is accurate. They only give better estimate at best. This is one reason you could target a 100 search volume keyword and end up getting thousands of traffic — there's alot of theory to this though

SEMrush and Ahrefs have a wider data index generally though (and of course, better at estimating). So, the unfortunate answer to your question may be yes

      1. 2

yeah looks like it's a huge gap between cheap tools through worse accuracy and in SEO, to be honest, it matters very much to get keywords with the most potential and we need to choose it accurately to make sense and not waste time :/

  6. 1

This is beautiful and mind blowing. How were you able to come up with these ideas though?

    1. 1

Playing around with semrush? I share a lot of these on my site

      1. 1

Semrush data is almost like never correct. We should check serp volume with keyword everwhere and use Moz serp analysis for KD guidance, but if you don't want to use too many tools then maybe you can go for it.

        1. 1

Source? I've used most keyword research tools (Moz, severally) and I still lean towards SemRush. Had a lot of success with it generally as well.

          1. 1

can you help with link building as I am new to this field nearly reaching 6 month mark in a few days. My link building is quite weak our instructors have told us to look at different tools for different metrics. I would love if you could help with my client new site issues.
