3 years of planning, 1 job-search burnout, and 13 testers away from launch 🌳

Hey Indie Hackers!

For a long time, I was stuck in the loop of applying for jobs, getting rejected, and feeling like my skills weren't "enough" for the market. Eventually, I got tired of trying to prove my worth to HR managers and decided to prove it to myself.

I took an idea I've had for 3 years: Plant-a-Tree, and finally started executing it.

I’m currently unemployed, and to keep the lights on, I’ve stepped away from the dev job hunt for a bit and I’m currently editing videos for social media to pay the bills, and I’ve put my own money and soul into this project because I truly believe in it. It's a social network where every tree tells a story through GPS and photos.

The "Reality Check"
Everything was going great until I hit the Google Play "Closed Testing" wall. For a solo dev with no huge marketing budget, finding 20 people to test your app for 14 days feels like trying to climb Everest barefoot.

I’ll be honest: I almost gave up. I started questioning if I was even on the right track. But then I found this community, and it gave me the spark to keep going.

I need 13 more heroes
I currently have 7 testers, and I need 13 more to reach the goal. I’m not just looking for "numbers"; I’m looking for fellow builders who understand the struggle.

The Trade:
If you help me test Plant-a-Tree, I will personally test your app or project in return. Let’s support each other.
