🎉 $30,000 MRR - How we did it

🎉 $30,000 MRR!

Only 5 months ago I created the video about $20,000 in monthly recurring revenue.

In this week's vlog, I'm sharing how we grew from 20k to 30k, some thoughts and concerns about this growth, and how we gained market share because of competitor failures...

Congratulations on your journey. Our startup went through a very similar journey - a mix of word of mouth, high-quality customer support, and marketing really helped drive leads. I also agree that once you are past a certain MRR threshold ($10k in your case), there's more room for testing and experimenting, so you start growing faster. Insightful video, enjoyed the editing as well. Best of luck in the future!

Congrats! Really liked these two marketing tips from your video:

Focus on integrations so that your solution is available in marketplaces of popular software. This one is super powerful. And it has the added benefit of making your product more useful to your current (and potential) users. But it generally isn't something that's worth spending a lot of time on until you've got some momentum.

And allow your product to market for you by adding a link that goes on your customers' products. Of course, this only works if you're B2B, but I know of so many companies that attribute the majority of their growth to this. Plus, in some cases, it'll give you handy backlink, which is good for SEO.

    Good stuff!

Great and inspiring video Mike! I have built a bootstrapper's guide based on my interviews with successful makers. Wold love to hear your thoughts on it. Did you also follow this path?

find audience -> identify a problem -> create a solution -> MVP -> paying users
