573 visitors. 2,490 page views. 50% bounce rate.
That is everything FutureStack did in its first 30 days, with zero paid marketing.
Looking at the chart, the story is pretty clear. May started with a small organic spike around May 10, likely from early Instagram followers checking out the site after I shared it. Then things settled into a quiet but steady baseline through mid to late May, averaging around 10 to 15 visitors a day.
The real spike came at the end of the month when I published my first two posts on Indie Hackers. That single decision pushed daily visitors to 65 on the best day and brought the 30-day total to where it is now.
The bounce rate sitting at 50% is the one number I am not celebrating. Half the people who land on the site are leaving without exploring further. That tells me the landing experience needs work. Either the value proposition is not clear enough the moment someone arrives, or the content is not pulling them in deep enough.
That is the problem I am focused on fixing in month 2.
No vanity metrics. No paid growth. Just building in public and sharing the real numbers.
Month 2 starts now.
