3000 Members BUT 10 Paid Members!

I have 3000 members. 10 of them are paid members. My users do not give feedback and some of them complain and most of them are silent. With the behavior of the users and a little Playtest, I got a very difficult result.

I have to redo almost everything. There is a lot of friction and old technology. I just discovered a problem because of LemonSqueezy. I asked a friend to Playtest and he discovered this problem. Maybe that's how I lost so many customers.

LemonSqueezy used to redirect after purchase. Then they removed the redirection feature. I can't update it now. Still, the problem is that it goes to a page that doesn't exist after the purchase. Because I used Webhook instead of the redirect feature, so there was no need for redirection. But Lemon forgot this part.

It redirects anyway. And it's been redirecting since it was installed. Maybe that's how I lost a lot of people. I had customers before, but then they left. And they never said anything.

People don't talk. I have to solve everything. So I have to do it all over again.

Today I'm redesigning the interface and will try to make a really, stupidly simple interface. I'm also continuing my research on UX.

If you have any UX resources to recommend, please feel free to share. Let me share a resource recommended yesterday. https://mobbin.com/ A great resource about interfaces and onboarding!

Follow me because I'm going to do a deep build in public! Let's see if I can solve this problem. We'll see! 😼

Dude!!!! When I wrote my book about building a SaaS, for developers, one of the things I found during research was a tool called "Canny.io" which became a game changer in getting feature requests and letting my users vote on the features they want.

It was one of the main growth drivers for Clickup and it's free!

You can also publish all your updates in the ChangeLog section and broadcast that to all your users and on social.

I use ChangeLog, I also use Newsletter. I have heard of Canny.io and it is one of the startups I follow remotely, but I have never used it for NotionPlus.

Never heard of ChangeLog or Newsletter but doesn't seem like Canny.io which is primarily a web based Roadmap with features that people can vote on =)

One reason why tracking is common

    Stuff like session reply...

    openreplay for example

I have the same issue with lack of users giving feedback, even the paid ones. Integrated Microsoft Clarity this morning and I already have 2 things added to my backlog.

Do not blame anyone. Eat your own dog food in the morning.

I'm sorry, but you're always the first person in charge of your own product.

There’s 2 things I’d keep in mind for the future:

    1. An integration test would have picked this up.
    2. Use client tracking, something like Mixpanel or a cheaper alternative.

you shouldn’t go directly into tracking for this specific reason as basic testing should catch these scenarios.

We use microsoft clarity and have someone monitor this on a daily basis

its good practice to set up analytics and monitor them closely. a lot of people on the internet hardly give feedback unless they lose some money.

    Great tip with Mobbin!
