4 best decisions to make in Jan

Procrastination is like a superpower that allows you to turn a 10-minute task into an all-day event, filled with snack breaks, social media scrolling, and random acts of "organizing." 😏 Here are 4 serious tips to beat procrastination:

1. Start small with achievable goals.
Instead of saying "I want to be more productive," try setting specific, achievable goals for yourself, such as "I will complete three tasks on my to-do list this Monday." This will give you something specific to work towards and help you stay motivated.

2. Use planning systems.
Work with a planning system to break down your bigger goal and in this way tackle difficult or intimidating tasks. At Playground we lean on different planning systems such as: one-impactful-weekly-commitment, WOOP (wish, outcome, obstacle, plan) tool and backwards goal setting. These help you manage your time more effectively and reduce the temptation to procrastinate.

3. Connect & commit.
Sharing your goals & progress with someone in a similar situation can be a great way to support each other, get new ideas, and stay motivated. Consider joining a group or team to work on your goals together, or use online tools like video conferencing or chat apps to stay connected.

4. Be kind to yourself.
Finally, try to work with less perfectionism & more kindness towards yourself. This can help to create a more positive and productive mindset and can improve your long-term relationship with your work. Remember to take breaks and treat yourself with compassion, even when things don't go as planned.

P.S. You can do it alone, but you don't have too. If you are procrastinating and want to try something different, my Playground is a 3-month support system which combines these strategies to help you progress. Nothing changes, if nothing changes 😉 We start Jan 23rd! Find me/ message me here.
