I work a job full time, and have a newborn so my time is pretty limited.

But I work on my side projects pretty diligently before work every weekday. Some nights & weekend days if I have time.

No, I'm a solo dev-trepenuer.

What's the product?

ID verification for Shopify.

It's a service that securely receives customers' ID documents & headshots and uses machine learning to verify authenticity of identity.

How's your target audience?

Merchants selling on Shopify with high risk products

• Cannabis
• CBD
• Alcohol
• Age restricted items

Merchants selling high risk or high dollar items

• Jewelry
• Furniture

Merchants selling high dollar digital goods where typically anti-fraud measures don't have enough information to make accurate decisions.

How did you Staff Picked?

Just focused on delivering a solid product using their guidelines and providing the best support I could.

The nice thing about building for Shopify is the out of the box tools you get to start. It's been a pretty smooth experience thus far, aside from a few technical issues but who doesn't have that.

Out of the blue I was emailed and told I would be featured as a Shopify Staff pick in the Mexican market for a month. I'll take it :)

Future Plans

Continue to provide an excellent product and unlock additional revenue for my customers by giving solid ID verification.
