4 Projects for 2022

Why only four projects?
Simple, I'm not brave enough to try the 12 projects in 12 months. Plus, when I wrote down all the projects I wanted to tackle, these were mostly associated with existing products. So, instead of 12 new things I don't get finished, I've decided that I'm going to take on four big projects this year.
The criteria were pretty simple:
1 - What have I shipped already but it's stalled?
2 - What have I started already that needs to be finished?
3 - What overlaps are there with other (day-job) work I have to do?
4 - Where can I kill two birds with one stone.

Q1 - Publish a new book
This ties into a work project that we're doing and it gets me back into the writing habit. The bonus here is that it's also a way to re-energize my mailing list which sat untouched for 9 months last year.
I've given myself 99 days to write the book which is tough but do-able

(Fortunately, I've written another book so I have some idea of what I am getting myself into). I'm also writing the book in public, mailing my list regularly and I've also added a big fat countdown timer on the page . Which definitely helps with accountability

Secondary objective - use the interest around the new book to build up my mailing list, promote the blog and my existing book and courses

Q2 - Create a new course to go with the new book
This will start online but I hope to run these in-person this summer which is also when I will be leaving my current job. The impending end of a regular paycheck is also a useful motivator.

Secondary objective - to use this launch to get really good at creating a proper funnel for all on-demand courses.

Q3 - Clean up the MVP
I have an app that is around MVP status: functional but a bit clunky although I've had positive feedback from users. Sales have been pretty poor but I've done nothing to market it.

Q3 will be all getting the app in front of people to lock in the MVP so I can start to build up my users. Hopefully, the improvements to the blog and newsletter from Q1 and Q2 will help get the word out.

Q4 - Sell, sell, sell
I am rubbish at sales and marketing but I need to improve. So Q4 is going to be focused on improving everything I've worked on this year. That means a big blog clean-up, improved social, refreshing up my YouTube channel so things are in good shape for inbound traffic.
And a lot of calls and outreach.
