Aww thank you so much for sharing. I was also looking this to expand my blogging business model. One of them is https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/reviews/best/by-usage/programming

Can anyone recommend some software to help, besides quickbooks (or talk specifically to why it’s the better choice) to help move away from a Google sheet and generate P&L statements?

Masterpiece on how to build a business for a possible future sale.

Great advice. Hadn't even thought about most of these. There are so many things to think about when starting a business, but as you say, you don't have to implement these things immediately, they are just things to have in mind as you go along to ensure you make your business as sellable as possible later down the line.

This is gold. Especially the point about not creating a business around 'you'. Before I launched my startup, the majority of advice I read was about how you are your best brand. Have a personal story and make it about you and blah, blah, blah. I get how that can work if you never intend on selling your business but sometimes you don't know what the future has in store. When I decided to focus on being a parent and wanted to sell my startup, I found it was pretty much unsellable because I was the brand. Startup founders should really consider this when they launch their own.
