4 things you need to stop doing if you want to improve your confidence and your social life

Once in my 18s— I walked into a street lamp post while staring at a beautiful girl who was walking toward me.

It was in front of the main gate of our university. Hundreds of students saw it.

Nobody could stop laughing because it was really funny.

That was so embarrassing which made me even more shy and embarrassed.

Yeah, that moment just gave me an extra push, making some part of myself stop me from doing things that can be embarrassing but again I did things that were out of my mind.

Although I was terrified at that time, I did it anyway.

Talking to that girl for a date, sharing my opinions, getting on a stage, etc…

It was a great feeling.

I learned what it means to be connected with people, and talking to them made me realize the lie that I forced myself to believe ‘I'm not a sociable person’.

Judging yourself negatively
When you step into a room of strangers, you never fail to show the kind side of you but besides that, have you ever thought about why you're so much nicer to other people than you are to yourself? It's because you don't have proper boundaries with yourself, so you ALLOW yourself to walk all over you.

Think about someone you care about, a friend, a family member, or even a pet. Think about how you would protect that person from hateful people, from getting hurt. Think about how they deserve the best in life and to be happy.

Now turn those feelings to yourself.

Choosing gloomy labels
You put those labels on yourself like clumsy, awkward, weird, etc, which subconsciously are telling your mind what is and is not possible for you. There is a huge difference between being awkward and identifying as an awkward person.

Start labeling yourself wisely, e.g. I label myself a pescatarian, which makes it easier for me to avoid meat when I just really want that burger.

Waiting for tomorrow to start working on your social skills
I wish they could fix themself but unfortunately, you need to work on that constantly training with uncomfortable. Thinking if you get more money, moving to a different location, and getting into shape can fix your social skills, but in many cases, it won’t change your social skills.

Rather than waiting, taking action is the only way to get your social skills on the move. Level up, ask people questions, ask about “where you can get good food here” speak about the “weather” or “the song you are listening to”, etc.

Focusing on the problem
You don't even want to know completely about the problem. If you focus too much on the problem the more real it becomes in your mind.

You don't need to know everything about self-improvement to get yourself in the gym.

So try to reverse as much as you can, Give your attention to positive outcomes. Focus on the positive effects it brings to your social life. If you need to be more attractive then focus on the morning face routine, read books, and gym.

Remember, You are a little push away from being the best version of yourself.
