4 Tips that Will Improve your Landing Page Copy

I've compiled a short, yet powerful list of tips on how to write copy that converts visitors to clients.

It's called conversational copywriting.

The best in the game do it constantly.

Ready? Let's get this 💩 started.

1. Write at the reader.
One of the things that make conversational copywriting so powerful is that you include the reader. Don’t you feel like you’re a part of our conversation here?
That would make a sentence like:

"We have 10 years of experience."

Be:
“How far can you go with the advantages we didn’t have 10 years ago?”

Come up with something that would get the reader in. A challenge if you will.

2. Write like you're talking.
If I had to recommend two tips that can make you a damn good copywriter, it’s:

  • Use contractions;
  • Start sentences with conjunctions.

Both improve the reading flow and sound more natural.

3. Understand your customer.
Understanding your customer allows you to empathize with them.
And that’s powerful.

Use the words they use in forums, while talking with your customer support, or even while writing reviews. If you're just starting out, look at your competitor's clients.

4. Keep your writing natural.
Keep it simple. If you aren’t sure if it’s good, read it aloud.
Did it make you cringe? Yes?
Most certainly, the reader did too.

That's it. Share your thoughts below. Are you struggling with writing quality copy?
