I know a lot of you are podcast fans, so I have a question for you: Would you use a platform that let you pitch podcast episode ideas to hosts?
Once you've submitted your idea, other people could upvote it if they also wanted it recorded. Users could pose questions for the episode as well.
Podcast hosts could browse through the ideas and 'claim' the ones they want to tackle. After the episode is published, everyone following the idea would get notified.
Is it easy to understand? Is it useful?

Pitching podcast ideas could work. But perhaps somebody who launched something similar knows better.
I'd be more interested in a podcast player that allows me to copy fragments out and save them for later with a click.
Lol!! I literally just built this functionality into Magnus Rush last night. In addition to bookmarking anywhere in an episode you like, you can hit a button and save the last 60 seconds of a show out as a clip. Kind of like a rolling recorder of the last X seconds. One problem I see is not really knowing how far back I might want to save, but I’ll taxkle that later with a trim feature. Anything else you’d want the feature to do?

I think saving 60 sec is enough to remind yourself what the clip is about. Then as you say Trim feature would be handy to extend or cut it as needed. Plus a short note or a colored label. 😉
I kind of got tired of no one building what I wanted in a podcast app, so started building one in December. Voice memos, bookmarks, voice commands, show tipping, easy actions, user reactions, social listening, etc. It has a corresponding SaaS platform for podcasters. Magnus is the name of a character in one of my favorite podcasts (the Adventure Zone) and he RUSHES in to help his brothers hehe

That sounds like a good idea for a podcast player. I have been wanting someone to build a better podcast player!

That is a very similar concept. Has it been difficult to get users to suggest ideas and youtubers to adopt them?
You need to make some serious investment in marketing I think. For me it was difficult.

Yep. I think if you combined this with Twitter you'd end up close to what I'm imagining haha
