What next? https://workingat.co/ - discover the perks, policies, benefits and processes at leading startups 🔥
Hi guys
Thanks for all the feedback on the Working At landing page. I have now launched version 1 of the site and what to know my next steps.
On Working At you can discover:
🐶 Which startups are dog friendly?
🏳️🌈 Who has a formalised LGBTQ+ policy?
💻 What equipment and tools you’ll be working with?
🍾 Which startups have Prosecco or beer on tap?
🧠 Who offers mental health days?
🏠 Which startups will let me work from home or remote?
What now? I think the concept is clear and we have had passing interest from a few people who submitted to my Dog Friendly Startups directory. Now I want to start validating some of the product execution and audience personas.
I think now I want to call 20 or startups to tell them about the site an encourage them to list there. Is this how you would proceed? How would you solicit feedback? What types of question would you ask?
Would love to hear from the community.
Very impressed with what you have achieved in such a small amount of time. Good job.
There are plenty of startups who completely miss off all of the kind of benefits you are recording from their job adverts (despite often having some of them). I would recommend targeting these companies first. They are probably small and like most tech startups will be struggling with recruitment. You can then pitch a free service of formalising these perks / policies for them. This would help them improve their own job adverts and help you to begin to gather more data.
Then workingat would be a source of information that is hard to find and not just what can easily be found online (for Monzo for instance)
As a side note, the two things I am most interested in when joining a startup is what problems I will be working on, salary / equity. I couldn't find this on your site. Also I it would be good if you could capture what perks job seekers are looking for. Eg. "10% time".
Loving watching the progress on the site though. Is it all built using AirTable?
