But to be honest, I feel Amazon's UI is boring. You should check out the UI of Flipkart, it is an Indian e-commerce app

I think there is some resistance from the usual users against dramatic UI changes which limits companies with massive user bases like Amazon.
I checked Flipkart, there is a strange huge text-only section at the bottom of the page right before the footer.
It's cool. I thing shopify store designing is easy despite making landing pages.
Well, the effort required depends on your skills.
I'm just happy when clients use landing pages instead of sending traffic right to their homepage :)
