I've posted a few bits on my Twitter regarding this topic and after it had quite a bit of good feedback, I wanted to expand on it further than Twitter 280 characters limit aha.
I understand everyone has a different selling technique so, there should be something for everyone in this little sales call bible.
Anyway, let's jump straight to it...
Before the call, spend 10-15 minutes looking at their service or product. Find a few awesome things and a few things they could improve. When the prospects answers, after you have introduced yourself etc, jump in like "Oh, I just wanted to mention a couple of things before we get started..." then mention your feedback.
This will take all of 1-2 minutes of the call but, it shows you have actually paid interest in their product or service and took the time out before the call to do your research.
Ask them about their product/service, how it's going and what their current bottlenecks/concerns are.
This will allow you to build a foundation to work off on the call. It will also show that you care and that you're not just pitching your own product/service.
When you have this information, ensure you can find a way for your product/service to fit and solve their issue and explain that to them further in the call.
Don't hard sell, this makes you look desperate.
Using this strategy doesn't pressure the buyer and most of the time, they'll actually convert faster as you haven't forced them into having to think about their decision further.
Just like a crazy girlfriend, stalk your prospect on LinkedIn, Twitter and maybe even Facebook.
The idea is to pick up on a mutual interest, then find a space during the call to mention this mutual interest without taking up to much time.
Once you both have something you enjoy discussing, the call will be a hell of a lot easier.
In order to successfully sell your service/product, you need to believe in it more than anyone else.
Basically, every time you hop on a sales call, sell your product/service like it's the last time you can ever sell it to anyone...
Hope this has helped someone ✌️
