I started building writetogrow to get my kids into the habit of writing, inspired by the book "Atomic Habits"
"tiny changes, remarkable results" says James clear on his book. so the app starts allowing you to write for only 2 minutes a day after 5 consistent days the magic starts to happen.
My oldest daughter(12) is helping me test it by writing every day which is the main goal.
Here are 5 things I have learn so far...
1 - Even though I was doubtful at the beginning, she likes to see the timer going backwards telling her how long she has left before the window closes and she has to wait 24 hours to write again.
She looks at it like a game.
⭐ Learning by playing rocks!
2 - As time has passed (10 days already) she seems comfortable writing about her daily experiences and when I ask her how she feels she tells me that she loves it making me think that I'm on the right track.
⭐ Having your kids as your fans is the best.
3 - In writetogrow consistency not only levels you up but also every 5 days you get a story, audio and image based on the previous 5 writing segments, this creates that sense of excitement of what crazy stuff AI is going to come up with.
⭐ Element of surprise for the win
4 - The stories generated so far based on my daughters segments give her ideas on how start structuring her next writings based on what outcome she is looking for, if she wants her sister as a character, she mentions her name.
⭐ experimentation is key in the learning process
5 - My daughter just writes and the magic happens, she has a vague idea of how it works on the back but she just wants to write which is once again, the main goal.
⭐ AI is powerful tool that can facilitate and enhance the learning experience to a level unimaginable
