A lot of people are asking me, Konstantinos how can I shape new habits without being overwhelmed and end up quitting after a couple of days?
Well, I'm going to share some tips with you in this amazing group as I always love helping people. I own a business, helping entrepreneurs to develop productive habits so I do this professionally. I don't want to bombard you now with some information and not change anything at the end of the day so I can only scratch the surface here. Let's get right into it:
Create obstacles to make it difficult for you to follow through the unwanted habits. Instead, prepare the ground to make good habits easy to follow. Let's say that you want to reduce the time that you are watching television: each time you close the TV remove the batteries from the controller. Thus, next time you will have to put them back in the controller in order to turn the TV on. If that still doesn't work, make it even harder: put the TV in a box every time you turn it off. The point is to make it hard for you to use it - you get the gist. On the other side, regarding good habits, let's say that you want to eat healthier but it takes more time to prepare the meal than an unhealthy one. So prepare it the night before, put the jars with the ingredients in a row that you are going to use them so it will be easier - almost fun - to prepare it. Even better prepare the meals for the whole week (if it is about breakfast). Again, I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
The point is to show up. Don't bother getting into a day-streak. All you have to do is show up and cast a vote to your new identity as a reader, a runner, a hustler, etc. If you want to read a book every week, start by reading 5 minutes a day. If that doesn't work, make it even easier. Read one page. It will do the work in the long run.
It will be easier to execute this way. I wrote an article about this on my FB profile where I get more in-depth into it. Here it is:

Your bed is there only to sleep on it. Your desk is only to read on it. Your kitchen table is only to eat on it. Don't mix it up, you'll get your brain confused.
The best point so far is to follow a proven path. Learn a process that works and has been working for other people already. Don't try to figure it out yourself and stop wasting your time. It took me months to realize it - thank god I realized it a couple of years ago when I was almost 20 y.o. back then. Get a mentor who knows the drill and can help you with your own situation exactly and follow the steps.
I hope it helped by any means. If you found interesting what you just read, if you got to this point reading, and want to learn more about it comment below or send me a DM on FB. I would be happy to help.
Looking forward to reading your feedback!
