500 plays in our first month

We launched our podcast on July 1st.

30 days later, we hit 500 plays.

I know that 500 plays isn't anything to write home about, but you have to understand the context:

My co-founder & I started our company in November 2018 as a clothing company. We were fairly unsuccessful at that, so we started focusing on content and eventually landed on interviews. Around May of 2019, we put out our first long-form written interview. Over the next year, we put out about 40 more. We had some articles that got a decent amount of traffic, but we weren't seeing any real growth. People were clicking on one interview and never coming back.

We decided to transition the interviews from written form to audio form and after publishing a trailer on July 1, 2020, we launched our first weekly interview on July 6th. In our first two weeks, we only put out one episode per week. Then once we hit our stride in week 3, we began publishing 3 episodes per week, just as we had initially planned.

Fast-forward to today, and we have released 8 episodes and amassed 500 plays! We've seen tons of growth in our social media accounts and have received more positive feedback than we ever have before.

It seems that we are finally beginning to serve our target customer... Took us long enough!
