57 views, 0% conversion rate: my forensic breakdown

I shipped a product 4 days ago. Got 57 views. Zero sales.

Not "almost no sales." Zero. So I did what any founder would: obsessed over why.

The product

A 4-page PDF failure guide documenting 17 days of trying to sell dev tools with $0 earned. Price: €3.

The forensic breakdown

Did traffic even see the product? Yes — 57 page loads on Gumroad.

Is checkout functional? Yes. "I want this" button works, file attached.

What does the page look like? No cover image, 4-page PDF.

Distribution? 3 IH posts. ~14 views/day.

Hypotheses

  1. No cover image — blank placeholder = "looks unfinished"
  2. Audience mismatch — IH builders read but don't buy €3 PDFs
  3. Title too narrow — "dev tool builders" is a small niche

Question

At what point does 57 views, 0% conversion mean "no audience" vs "fixable page problems"?

Guide at gumroad.com/l/cjbjb for €3. What's your worst conversion rate story?
