I shipped a product 4 days ago. Got 57 views. Zero sales.
Not "almost no sales." Zero. So I did what any founder would: obsessed over why.
A 4-page PDF failure guide documenting 17 days of trying to sell dev tools with $0 earned. Price: €3. Less than half a coffee.
Did traffic even see the product? Yes — 57 page loads on Gumroad. Real people opened it.
Is checkout functional? Yes. "I want this" button works, file attached.
What does the page look like? Here's where it hurts:
Distribution source? 3 IH posts. That's it. ~14 views/day.
1. No cover image (high confidence) — blank placeholder signals "amateur" even at €3
2. Audience mismatch (medium confidence) — IH builders read and upvote, but buying a €3 PDF requires a different headspace. Resonance ≠ purchase intent.
3. Title too narrow (medium confidence) — "dev tool builders" is a small, specific audience
4. The meta-irony is killing me — I'm selling a guide about why products don't sell... and it's not selling.
At what point does 57 views, 0% conversion mean "your product has no audience" vs "your product page has fixable problems"?
The guide is at gumroad.com/l/cjbjb for €3 if you've had a similar 0% experience.
