I'm Khoa, iOS developer doing indie on the side, having 1 kid. I love to see people discuss on this Indie Parents as I feel I'm in good company.
It's actually a bit stressed seeing people pushing features and sharing MRR with more free time than mine, but family&kids are my choice and I need to balance

No need to compare yourself to others. Time constraints can be a blessing.
Am a parent in the 5am club too! Had to switch chronotypes from night owl to early bird in order to get any deep work done. Waking at 430am was the only way i could get an undisturbed block of deep work.
Glad to hear, it is a good life hack. I find more productive in the morning than at night time
