Feedback please! We have recently made a tool that helps people estimate how much it costs to build an MVP.

Regardless of total generated, the concept is good and does create a good lead funnel. Also well designed and snappy. Not sure how much effort you want to put into modeling the estimate - but tying in real results into the data modeling could be good. Nice work!

Looks nice but I don't understand where the numbers come from and who would use them to be completely honest.

I wouldn't want a potential client coming to me with a number from a tool like this and I wouldn't estimate projects with one either because quotes are highly dependent on the specific details.

It's usually quick to tell the difference between a project that might take a day, a week, a month or a few months but beyond that you need to ask a lot of questions and consider the design options. Quotes should also take into consideration more than just the number of days as well e.g. risk of delays, risk of mistakes, impact of mistakes, business value of the project.

the project is interesting but the estimation is too rough. For example, you take into account parameters that are actually cheapest if not free - like login section. If somebody would use a boilerplate (like mine - see the profile for details) such things would cost nothing and the whole expenses would be on the core functionality that can be very different for even "something-like" projects.
But anyway, it probably has potential. And I love the picture on the landing page.

Seems like the whole point of the website is to generate you some leads. I don't think that with this kind of survey you can do an accurate estimate. But if I'm right about lead generation, why don't you put results of your survey into some kind of document, present it to a customer along with the estimated price and suggest that you can do it cheaper. Allow them to type or attach anything else to that document. Give two options: schedule a call with you or just download their "Product Requirements Document". Even if they don't convert immediately, next time they are speaking to anyone they'll get the same request — put their thoughts/requirements on paper. Chances are high that they'll remember about your little tool (and you in turn)!
