Very basic, I actually wondered if the logo image didn't fully load. A gradient would fix that for me. The idea reminds me a lot of updatemi

If you're looking for ideas for the background-image, how about a sort of funnel, long text goes in, short sentence comes out at the bottom.

Also highlight "news" and "to your inbox every morning" in the tagline. Description meta tag is missing. there's no sitemap.xml either.
On a small screen the input and button should use the full width.

Last but not least, the page is so minimal that I don't think it is a real product but just one of the "let's see if people want it, collect email addresses and then build it" schemes.

Basic and calm. Dynamic title makes this page not boring.

But yeah, use https, people share with you their contacts, do not let them worry about what they use.

Agree with comments by Thomas. I also had to do a double read on this "60 words shorts", not entirely sure what that means, maybe change to "60 short words" or just "60 words"?
