$6.5k MRR took me 10 years. Now I'm back to $119

Ten years ago I launched Trackly, a website change detection tool.

It took a decade to hit $6.5k MRR. That's not a typo. Ten years.

Most of those years were slow. A few users here, some churn there. I'd look at founders posting "$10k MRR in 6 months!" and wonder what I was doing wrong.

But here's the thing. Enterprise customers found me. Law firms. Banks. Compliance teams. They signed up and they never left.

These weren't people checking sneaker restocks. They were tracking regulatory changes, competitor pricing, court filings. They needed audit trails. Reliability. Someone who'd pick up the phone.

The two problems nobody talks about:

Website monitoring sounds simple. Check page, detect change, send alert. In practice, two things kill every change detection SaaS.

Noise. Websites change constantly. Ads rotate, timestamps update, session IDs shift. Users drown in alerts for stuff that doesn't matter. This is where AI actually helps. Summarize what changed in plain English, filter out the garbage.

More signal, less noise.

Blocking. Sites don't want to be monitored. Cloudflare, bot detection, CAPTCHAs everywhere. You need residential proxies, browser fingerprint rotation, all the evasion tricks. It's an arms race and most tools lose.

Solving these two problems is 90% of the work. The "detect changes" part is easy.

What 10 years taught me:

Sticky beats viral. My enterprise users have 95%+ retention. They don't churn because the pain is real and ongoing.

Boring verticals pay. "Compliance monitoring" isn't sexy. But compliance teams have budget and urgency.

The long game is underrated. Most competitors from 2015 are dead. I'm still here.

So why start over?

Trackly's codebase is 10 years old. The architecture made sense in 2015, not now. I've spent the last year rebuilding from scratch as Changeflow. Modern infrastructure for the blocking arms race. AI that turns noisy diffs into useful summaries.

Why I'm actually excited this time:

Here's what changed. AI is flooding the web with content designed to grab attention and keep you scrolling. Algorithms decide what you see. We're drowning in information we never asked for.

Changeflow flips that. Instead of AI deciding what matters, you decide. You pick the pages. You tell it what you care about. It watches and summarizes. Nothing else.

Fight the algorithm with an algorithm you control. That's the product I wanted to build 10 years ago. Now I finally can.

Current Changeflow MRR: $119. Starting the climb again and this time taking marketing seriously, SEO & LinkedIn here we come!

Anyone else playing the decade game? What's kept you going?

Ten years of staying the course while everyone else chased viral growth, and enterprise clients found you because you were still there. That's not a slow growth story, that's a trust story. And compliance teams and law firms respond to exactly that kind of track record. Quick question, are you planning to lead with that narrative in your LinkedIn strategy? Because that's the angle that would make your ideal customers stop scrolling immediately.
