Here are the October '20 stats for Upvoty. We're still doing ZERO outreach and sales. Pure organic growth, mainly from our blog content, guest posts, and referrals from existing users.
Signed some big SaaS customers as well. One of the biggest lessons learned: if you want to sign bigger teams, add a 'book a demo' button to your website :).
Almost 70% of the demos became a customer. Demos are working like a charm!

Congrats! Would love to learn more about the findings around "Book a demo". This seems very interesting.
-Do you often discuss pricing during the demo?
-How long do these demos usually run?
-How long do you wait to follow up after a demo?
Demos are booked by larger teams. They almost always talk about pricing during the demo (most of the time it's about the discount for 1 year). The demos are between 30 and 45 mins. I always immediately send a follow-up email after the demo and then every week after it. Sometimes they require a second demo (mostly for setting things up) or they sign up πͺ
This is cool idea! I have a question, how did you connect them custom domain to your app.
I'm curious, how could you compete with Canny.io?
More customizations, better priced, different target audience :)
I use canny and am pretty happy with it. It is a bit expensive. What is canny vs your target audience? (My site is feedback.phppos.com). Do you have import feature?
It's more like we target smaller businesses that don't want to pay hundreds of dollars a month on their feedback tool. The target audience, software companies in general, is pretty much the same :)
Yes, we can import your full Canny export, no problem! πͺFeel free to sign up and start a trial. If there's anything, you can find me on the chat and we can work it all out.
This is a cool idea. "Customer Advisory Boards" are very common at reasonably sized companies, but managing them is clucky and a lot of work. You might consider testing out messaging that conveys an out of the box solution for CABs.
Thanks, good one!
Woohoo! πͺπͺπͺ
nice!
Amazing! Could you share your flow after someone clicks book a demo button? Like do you personally reach out to these leads or there is an automated workflow like sending out an email with a calendly link to book a time slot or something like that? Generally what I have seen is that these automated emails with a link to book ends up going in spam and thus, the leads become cold.
Looks Great Mike πͺπ
Lol, this is exactly what I need. Just started a private beta with a group of 15 users. For sure I'm going to check this out on Wednesday!
Question, is it possible for users to upload a file, i.e a screenshot, while providing feedback?
