6 downloads, $0 revenue, one discount code quietly giving everything away

I'm relaunching my template store this month, and here's the honest starting line: $0 revenue. Six downloads ever — all free, most through a 100%-off code I forgot to disable.
That's not a failure story, it's a baseline. I've since fixed the covers, the pricing, and the leaky discount code, and I'm posting through July whether the numbers move or not. Building in public means publishing the boring middle, not just the highlight reel.
If you're a course creator: EduLaunch Basic is free right now — landing page, curriculum section, checkout links. Premium adds full lesson delivery and certificates, 25% off with LAUNCH25 until July 31. https://mosnyik.gumroad.com/l/edulaunch-kit-basic

Discount codes before product-market fit are dangerous. You attract price-sensitive users who churn at the first friction, and you never learn whether the product itself has value. Free tier or nothing until you see retention signals.
