60 days of SaaS at 16

Hey founders,

I started building my first SaaS around 60 days ago, and I wanted to share some aspects of my journey to get some feedback, some suggestions and maybe help some other beginner founders in the process : )

My startup is called Affistash, and we help software companies grow their affiliate/partnership programs by getting them listed on our platform, and connecting them with the marketers that browse our platform to find new programs.

After 60 days of Affistash here are the stats that I managed to achieve:

💸 MRR: 315$
🚀 Users: 890
🧨 Companies: 8

I am content with my current results, but there is always room for a lot of improvement. Anyway, here are some things that I think I did good:

  1. I always listened to customers: In the beginning I didn't have any dashboard for companies that listed their program on my platform, so they couldn't monitor their stats/progress. A couple of my customers told me to implement that, so I went straight to building
  2. I made videos: I think having explanatory videos for most of my features, this really helped people understand what my product does, and really boosted conversion rates
  3. Posting a lot on Indiehackers, Reddit, Twitter, PH: Being consistent on these platforms helped me reach lots of business owners that were happy to try my product and get their company listed. Most of them were happy with the results, a couple of them decided to leave, but I am aware that partnership programs don't work for any type of business.

I am looking to grow Affistash to $2k MRR by June, so I have a few things that I am looking to improve to reach that goal:

  1. Automate all content marketing
  2. Launch the first micro product from the "Affistash Tools" collection on PH
  3. Looking for people with audiences in the affiliate marketing nice and sharing equity for some exposure. Basically creating a win-win situation

Hope you found this interesting and I am more looking forward to your guys feedback : )

PS: If your product has an affiliate/referral program, I would love to have you listed on our platform, so just DM me on twitter @PiticVic and let's make it happen!

And if you're shy, visit our application page and use code "bird" at checkout😋

Cheers!

Yeah, you are completely right, having explanatory videos for most of project features is great for conversions and overall for traffic. Every new feature = new keyword !

This is awesome and very well done! FYI your "book a call" CTA on the landing page isn't connected to anything (wanted to explore!). Calendly / Hubspot might be a good solution for this. The former has a very nice, embeddable widget for this like we have here -- would highly recommend that!

Your working on the right path!
