Hi guys, I’m looking for some early feedback on a side project I’ve been working on:
It’s a web app that lets you generate random email addresses, which you can use for signing up to different services, mailing lists or just anywhere an email address is required and you don’t want to give your real email out.
I was thinking about why we use a different password on every website but keep the same email address. Lots of people half solve this by including a + in their email address, but it’s not a private or secure solution.
I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and get value out of it for myself, now I want to see if others would also find it valuable
Let me know if you think it’s a good idea or not and if not, why?
What is the side project? Lots of people ask for users to review the product - as a rule I personally won’t unless you have said what the app does. You need to give a bit of a sales pitch if you want people to take time out of their lives to help you out.

If there's a browser extension for this, it'll be much easier to sign up for services.

Thanks! I agree - I have a chrome & firefox extension in the works, it's not ready yet though. Encryption will be there for sure, I think our email addresses should be kept private and therefore securely.
I'm going to rework the business model to a freemium service. Unfortunately I do have to charge monthly for high volume users as there's costs to process email that scales per email recieved.
I think this is a good idea. The site looks very polished.
The monthly fee is a bit high to me. I think 2-4 dollars would be the sweet spot for me personally.
