I'm documenting side project work in my stories on instagram (under Hackaton). https://www.instagram.com/startupnow.io/

      Thanks. Just subscribe to you.
Btw, why did you choose this format?

        Thanks for subscribing!

I like the discoverability of IG and that the stories are bite size. It doesn't take too much time to take a screenshot or record a 15sec video update. And it's what's expected on the platform.

I tried streaming on Twitch but too many trolls and you always have to be careful what you show. I also don't think watching live web development is exciting enough or has much potential.

I thought about doing YouTube videos but editing 8+ hours of development work into interesting chunks takes a lot of time. And if I don't edit, we're back to the same issues as Twitch.

Just tweeting every day about what I'm doing https://twitter.com/CaravelKit

I vlog each day and post each week as a weekly vlog every weekend πŸ€“ The videos focus on part freelance illustration (lots of time lapse illustrations), part creating/running my own projects, and then general life and my tricking training (similar to parkour, flips and things!) Could be close to what you're looking for 😊 Here's the latest one: https://youtu.be/vD9OBIIeXKI

I'm trying to start it back, have done lots of videos and some vlogs in the past on my YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC00XnZc8SVr_Nd2K78qb8ag?view_as=subscriber

Just watched one of your episode and I like it.
You were doing a lot of editing, how long did it take to do it?

    2. 1

      Awesome!
Why did you stopped? Was it too time consuming?

      1. 1

Thanks! Yes, I stopped doing the heavily edited "How I" series of videos since they were just too time consuming.

I'm doing more screencast style now that are not edited at all, but might start back the more edited styled and some vlogs soon. Just have to prioritize it.

Thanks for your feedback. Let me know if you are starting it back.

I'm planning on doing this and documenting my process of growing workcapsule.io. What types of videos are you interested in seeing?

    1. 1

      I don't really know.
Discovering the "life" of other indie hackers, when they are in doubt, their first success...
Just looked at workcapsule and I love the design πŸ‘

I've considered doing this, but I'm not sure what would be interesting about it? Lots of the details are kind of boring/choring... what about watching the journey is inspiring to you?

    1. 1

I totally agree, if I had to make one it sounds boring. I'm wondering if it's an imposter syndrome or if it will be really boring πŸ˜‚
