I’ve heard this a few times recently.
Definitely try to keep busy, but this is from people I need to be available for.
Need to communicate this better.

I'm jealous. How do you get people to think you're too busy to contact? That's the real gold here.
No ideas for doing the opposite, unfortunately. Perhaps occasionally email the people you need to be available for and advertise your willingness to chat.
