That's why we created https://remotewise.io/ , a new resource and learning platform dedicated to remote work.
Me and my friend Olly (Designer, UK) have both been working remotely for most of our careers. Over this time remote work has been gaining huge momentum as a viable and desirable way to work and we believe it’s the future of the workplace. We’ve been working on this during our evenings and weekends in between our full-time remote roles, so we’re really excited to be putting it out for you guys. We’d really appreciate any feedback as I’m sure many of you are remote workers yourselves or thinking about going that route.
So, why did we create Remotewise.io? We noticed it was often tricky and time consuming to find quality and relevant content about remote work and the companies which champion it. We wanted to create a focused, discoverable and beautifully curated list of resources so that you can learn from others secrets of success, what it takes to work as a highly effective remote team and how to nurture a healthy remote work culture. We see the site as a learning and discovery platform that in the process helps you find the best company fit for you, hopefully taking the pain out of searching for that perfect remote role. We were hugely inspired by Indiehackers and how they’ve approached sharing knowledge and creating this community so we hope you like it!
We’re launching a weekly newsletter to so if you’re into it sign up and receive the latest updates. We’ll also be bringing you founding stories and leadership interviews in the coming weeks and months. This is just the start of our journey and there’s loads more to come. Over time, I suspect more and more work will be done on a per-project basis, via decentralized, blockchain-powered platforms. This type of work will all be remote.
It's still early days, though. We may be 5-10 years from this being done at meaningful scale.
We'll definitely keep our eyes on that and do our best to evolve with time! Thanks for your comment
As I see some companies are searching for no-remote designers, software engineers etc. at your remotewise.io though the idea is great! I am also sure in 5-7 years lots of people will work remotely from home. For example all my designers and marketers are working remotely and I call them via skype when I need to check their work etc.
That's definitely a trend we're seeing as well, and we really hope to make this into a useful resource for people who want to take that step going remote or learn more about it,

The goal is to provide a resource where you can learn about remote work by industry leaders but also find your next dream company by providing an extensive catalogue of companies offering remote work. We aim to make the information as transparent as possible so that you would be able to really look into the companies core values to see if it's a good match for you or not. We'll ask them to contribute to their profile but also through interviews that we setup as well as offering them to contribute articles on the remote work topic.
Companies will be offered to get a featured on all the different sections throughout the site through sticky positioning and sponsor messages on the top of the page.
That's what we have in store for now :)
