Feedback on quarterly pricing for www.checkbot.io & quarterly pricing in general? π€
I've just added quarterly pricing plans for https://www.checkbot.io/, my Chrome extension that tells you how to improve the SEO, speed and security of your website (see the pricing section near the bottom). Any feedback appreciated!
How does the section that explains the pricing look? I've opted for showing the quarterly and yearly prices at the same time instead with a toggle which seems to be rarely done for some reason. I think this makes it easier to compare.
Is it clear how much of a discount you're getting if you go yearly? I've seen people display this as $ amounts (save $20!), month amounts (2 months free!) and percentages (save 17%!), and want this to be intuitive.
Is the discount amount tempting or should there be a bigger difference between the plans?
Have you considered quarterly pricing for your own product? Why or why not?
I was only doing yearly pricing before and wanted a lower tier for users that don't want to commit that much yet. I opted out of monthly pricing for now as I want to reduce admin and don't want newly signed up users having to think about renewals so soon after signing up.
It'd probably work as is.
But since you're asking for feedback, I think you could raise conversions with a little bit of tweaking:
If you want some inspiration, a few other companies that have nice pricing sections are
As for the discount text, I like both "2 months free" and "save 17%".
Thanks for the feedback. π
For 1, I agree this would be better if possible. I put the logos below because if you click on the "Pricing" anchor link you'd jump past these. Do you know of any pricing pages that have similar logos placed above I can look at?
For 2, yes, aware this is rarely done and it's probably been AB tested like crazy. Do you know of any studies on this? I personally find it clunky having to click back and forth between two plans to make a comparison so having two simple numbers shown upfront seems more straightforward to me. With more tiers though I'd probably do a slider.
For 3, good point! I'll look into changing that. Same for 4.
Some feedback from me but I am not an expert.
I think the distance from the top to the pay button is too long. By the time I get the buttons to the middle of my screen, I cannot see the prices anymore. So maybe reduce some of the bullet points. Like combine Unlimited crawls + sites.

No this doesn't translate to me.

I feel there should be a bigger difference between the quaterly and yearly plans. You should work on the pricing structure.
Thanks!
I agree the boxes are getting too long. I'll look into changing it. Combining items is a good idea.
Can you suggest how to communicate why the yearly discount is better and why it doesn't translate right now? "Save 16%" or "Save 20$" don't feel as concrete to me for example.
For the discount, I was considering tweaking it so you'd get "3 months free" (or however it should be phrased). Would that make more sense in terms of why you'd go yearly?
I feel like it will translate better for me if the 2 months free was part of the pay yearly button itself as compared to it being listed separately on top of the button as it is now.
The other option as you suggested - if you want to keep it separate as it is now is to say something like "2 months free with yearly subscription" or maybe put an arrow that shows the "2 months free" is for the yearly subscription.
I basically feel the way it is now the "2 month free" is kinda just there by itself and doesn't connect to the pay yearly.
Hope this helps.
