Paper business cards feel ancient. I got tired of them, so completely replaced them with a digital version. It worked better than I expected.
People were more likely to save my info, check out my case studies, and follow up in DM.
Here are my 7 low-effort ways I now share contacts:
✅ Apple Wallet
One scan from my phone, and the other person has everything (bio, links, socials, actual contacts).
✅ Zoom or Meet chat drop
At the end of virtual calls, I paste my card link in the chat.
✅ Link-in-nio
Instead of sharing 4 different links, I made my digital card a central hub for all links.
✅ QR Sticker on laptop when I work in coffee shops
This one gets people curious and makes connecting frictionless.
✅ Email signature
A simple line like “Save my info” linked to the QR code card. Gets more clicks.
✅ DM follow-up
After meeting someone in real life or via LinkedIn, I send a card in a quick direct message.
✅ Pitch decks & docs
I’ve even dropped it into resumes, pitch decks, and Notion docs.
Why it works:
Thoughts?
Nice ideas, I'll take a few. I share contacts via QR code. I generated a digital business card in ViralQR, which's also very fast. Additionally, I attach it to an email and wear it on my badge.
A badge is also a great idea. How frequently do people actually scan it?
