Does anyone know of an app that allows you to bookmark a section within a podcast/audio book? One that's agnostic to your podcast and audio book platform. If not, will someone please make one for me. Haha! If you do make one, will you please include a feature for voice command. I drive a lot and listen to pods/books....it would be awesome if I had the app running in the background and said "bookmark" it would respond "bookmarked". Also would be awesome if I could say rewind 30 and it would back up 30 seconds etc....

That's a great question. I'd like to follow it... and get to know the answer :)

I think Spotify provides an interesting way to follow artists, however that's only for one platform :(

Looking forward to hearing the answers.

      Thanks Dan : )

I'm hoping someone will run with this. It's not a super sexy idea, but considering the podcast/audio book explosion, I think it would be one of those "must have" app.

It'd also be one that podcaster's could totally get behind (aka, promote :) as it's one more way to keep engagement. Plus the backside data, of what users bookmarked, could be another revenue gem.

Along those lines, something I wish someone would build: I love the in-stream comments on SoundCloud. (Where you can comment on a particular part of the song, and that comment only appears to users who have reached that part of the song). Also creators can embed meta/text comments to listeners at certain points.

I wish all podcast / audiobook players had a similar feature.

I’m doing this with comments and voice comments. You can also see and hear little effects of people doing thumbs up and such, it’s really neat to be enjoying a moment in a podcast and seeing/hearing validation that others are feeling it too!

Hi @danacameron! I'm a fellow driver/podcast and audiobook listener, and the good news is that I've been working on such an app for almost 2 months now. I've been posting about it in the daily standups and am headed for a beta (iOS) by the end of the month. Voice commands, voice memos, bookmarks, all that kind of stuff. We drivers have been underserved! lol

@Davey You are my hero! This is exactly what I was thinking : ) You're right, us drivers have been very underserved Ha! I'm signed up for beta and excited to download whenever you're ready to roll.
