Hey guys 👋,
I've been working on a resource to help freelancers & agencies find more clients.
Below are selection of ideas. You can view the full list here 🔗.
💡 Idea
Target potential clients which are close to where you live and have outdated or broken websites. Your proximity to their location is often an advantage as some clients want to work with freelancers nearby.
🎟️ Actionable Tip
Browse Google Maps for shops or services in your town. Find their website on the listing and evaluate if their site needs work. If it does, put together a quick mock-up of how it could look. Finally, email them a link to the mock up, highlighting that you live nearby and why your improvements would benefit them.
💡 Idea
You've often built great working relationships with past co-workers. They exist in different networks to yours and may often know of someone looking to hire. They're usually happy to refer you if you ask them.
🎟️ Actionable Tip
Look through your LinkedIn or contact book and find 10 former co-workers you've worked with. Catch-up with them and let them know what you've been recently doing. Ask them if they've heard of anyone hiring or to keep you in mind in the future. Combine this with a referral fee for best results.
💡 Idea
Join and engage in relevant subreddits on reddit.com. Being one of the largest communities in the world, subreddits are updated daily with job listings. Contribute to the community for best results.
🎟️ Actionable Tip
Browse and join the following subreddits. Post about yourself if possible:
Let me know what you guys think! Have you tried any of these? Any more you think I should add? Looking to continually update the list.

Gave it a li'l boost for you. 🤫
Oh wow thank you! 🙏
Thank you for this! Love this type of content.
You're welcome! Hope you find some use in it.
Thanks for sharing. Just want to add, Reddit is a tricky one. If you don´t post useful content you will be downvoted into oblivion. Just post valuable content and stuff people could really use and have a benefit from.
Yeah I totally agree, I learnt this the hard way. A few subs allow you to post if you're looking to be hired but not all. In general, definitely engage with the community rather than be selfish.
This is great, thanks for sharing. Going to go through and try some.
You're welcome! Really keen on how you get on. Please let me know :)
Thanks for putting together the resources!
You're welcome man!
Thanks. Very usefull list.
You're welcome! Thanks for checking it out.
Quick note - your logo link does not work in navbar (it goes to "#").
Nice list!
Ooo great spot, will fix it. Thanks!
This is a great resource @rabbitsfoot8. Thanks very much for sharing!
You're welcome! Hope it helps you :)
Bookmarked! As I use to tell people during my marketing courses, if you reach out to a 100 a month it is almost impossible that you will not get any sales. Persistentie is key.
Thanks for this great share! And, I give this tip a lot; add a donate button! This has value and I'd be happy to reward your efforts when I use something.
Thanks for your kind words! I totally agree, there's no reason you can't get a client if you stick to tried and tested strategies. It just takes patience & perseverance.
Great idea about the donate button! Thanks.
