Launching A New Business Every 3 Months ($1,400 MRR So Far) ... Seeking Advice

Hey guys! So I'm a little late on posting about this idea but I posted about 3 months ago about launching a lead gen service for freelance developers www.Feastflow.com. Since then we have expanded to include leads for designers, added testimonials to the site, raised the price, and expanded to building custom lead gen pipelines for businesses.

It has been an especially wild ride considering during those 3 months I have been living the 'digital nomad' life and traveled to 4 different countries. So far all of the hard work has paid off and Feastflow has grown to just over $1,400 Monthly Recurring Revenue with a 95%+ profit margin as all the work is done by myself and my cofounder with almost zero expenses.

Now it is time for Stage 2 of the plan: we are hiring a Virtual Assistant to take over some of the day-to-day activities of managing Feastflow so we can focus on launching and growing our new venture. While we were looking to grow Feastflow we wanted to use a monthly service to write articles with the ultimate goal of growing it over time but couldn't find one that felt like the right fit. Either they were too expensive, didn't have high quality sample articles, or they didn't create a content strategy and relied on you to come up with keywords and topics. As business owners we are too busy to be worrying about micromanaging our content and really just wanted to outsource it to a company we could trust.

So we decided to launch our own content marketing business at www.ColonyContent.com! At Colony we take control of the entire process for business owners. We do long term content strategy, keyword research, and deliver content entirely on autopilot so busy entrepreneurs can stop worrying about their blog and focus on more important business tasks. Meanwhile we are hard at work helping them drive traffic, boost SEO, and increase sales with a data based approach so our customers can rest assured that they are getting significant value from our service. We offer 3 payment plans: one-off content requests at 12 cents per word, 2 Articles per month(~2k words) for $199, and 4 Articles per month(~4k words) for $399.

Our margins for this new venture are significantly lower as we obviously have to pay for experienced writing professionals but we are hoping the idea can scale as we imagine many online businesses find themselves looking for content but want to skip the hassle of dealing with freelancers. If this business goes well the plan is to continue the growth and launch a new venture every 3 months with the end goal being to have a portfolio of valuable online businesses that can be run from anywhere by a distributed team.

I'd love to hear feedback on the plan as well as the new venture from you guys/gals. This sub has given me lots of great advice and support in the past and its really helped me along my journey to get to this point. Do you think that 3 months is too short of a time between launches? Or that I will eventually hit a wall where I've stretched myself too thin over multiple ventures?

TLDR: Launching new venture at www.ColonyContent.com. Seeking feedback and advice on the new business as well as whether it is smart to launch a new business every 3 months.

    Get it @RepressedEmu!

Before you get wrapped up in the new business make sure your replacement in the first business can do everything you and your co-founder have done. Create step by step instructions for each activity. You've undervalued your time as zero expense.

Thats a good point and something we are really focusing on as we transition. Luckily for us a lot of the time-consuming parts of the workflow were able to be automated with software so that we can bring someone on with much higher efficiency than when we started. They'll also be heavily supervised during the next weeks to make sure that there isn't any kind of drop in quality. Wrecking our successful business while chasing a new one is NOT what we want to happen!
