Pre-Launch Feedback for SoImagely
Hi everyone,
I've been working hard on a project that allows you to quickly and easily create images for Social Media.
I've made some good progress and I'd like your feedback! Could you please go to soimagely.com and create some images!
I (purposefully) won't tell you more than that, I'd like you to figure it out yourself, although it should be pretty easy.
Features of the site:
- Create images for social media with text on them;
- Re-size images really quickly and easily;
- Thousands of background images to choose from;
- No design skills needed;
Improvements needed:
- Optimised images that are smaller in size;
- Ability to add the brand name to an image;
- More image sizes;
- More templates;
I hope to focus the tool on business users and recruiters that use Social Media a lot, and are willing to pay for a product, rather than a home user. Which is why lots of the templates are based on recruitment.

Some initial comments for you...
You might consider making the "I" in your name a small "i" instead? I keep reading it as SOLMAGELY because of the capitalization. Could cause some branding issues for you down the road.
I want to know (without having to sign up first) what formats I can download - JPG, PNG, do I get to choose?
A few items that make this feel a bit unpolished...
(These kinds of things are subtle but it's important to get lingo and other details just right, in order to gain trust)

In terms of future functionality, I definitely would want to be able to add my logo and also would want to be able to change the font color to match my brand.

Great feedback! I will re-look at the name and specifically the i. I personally see the I but I'm obviously biased.
I'm going to look at all your suggestions.
I will also use the guide, I have used some other guides but upon further thought, using Hubspot is probably better. I'll also do my own experimentation and blog about it.

I think on the homepage you should have people try the Editor immediately since asking for a sign up before I have 0 trust in the product may not lead to a conversion.

Thanks for having a look.
There are other tools out there, such as Pablo, Canva and Snappa (and of course Photoshop). Pablo has very limited templates and the output always looks the same. Canva and Snappa have many features but are (complicated) design tools. Whereas I would like to ensure that SoImagely is a tool to help business users and end users without design skills (and even easier to user than design tools).
I think your idea of having an editor on the homepage is a really good one, in fact it's something I've already thought about. The downside is that it could increase initial page load of the homepage, but should be manageable.

Will give feedback after I use it for a bit. One quick question: Didn't see Twitter in the Image-size list??
Update: added Twitter image size (and Instagram).
Although I need to look into how well it works, and whether other images sizes are required for Twitter.

Another feature request: For twitter, I would also love to add a logo to the corner of the image for branding purposes.
My internet connection was a bit slow. And there was a noticeable delay while selecting/updating images and sometimes when I went back to the main page, the image switched back to something else. Don't know if that was a bug or an artifact of my slow network connection.
Yes I mentioned more image sizes in the post, but it's easy for me to add quickly. So will do so today!
