Hey guys,
I am somehow losing visitors to MonitUp.com.
There are basically 3 reasons for this:
1- Incoming visitors may not be the right target audience.
2- Visitors may not have enough understanding of what MonitUp does.
3- The price can be expensive.
We made our homepage very minimal, plain and simple. We just tried to give the basic idea.
775 users came to the home page, 159 of them examined the price. 89 of them studied how the product works. 5 of them sign up and decided to start a trial.
7 days free trial available. A credit card registration is required to start a trial.
What do you think could be the problem?
MonitUp measures the productivity of full-time, freelance, hybrid and remote workers with employee monitoring.
Hi,
Have you considered as one reason for the low sigups the possibility that in today's world, when workers are more interested in a sense of purpose, self-determination, flexibility and well-being that they simply don't want to be monitored or take part in monitoring other people?
Hi,
Of course, people may not like the idea, they may not want to be watched, they may not need to be watched. However, there are companies that want to measure and increase the efficiency of their company.
I live in Turkey and the economy sucks. I'm sure all companies here want to increase their productivity.
Why are you asking for a credit card during the trial? I think that's a big barrier.
Previously, there was a 15-day trial and no credit card required. That didn't work and I'm trying by making the credit card mandatory.
Visitors do not sign up at all. They understand that a credit card is mandatory after they sign up. So I'm not sure yet if asking for a credit card is the problem.
Have you tried installing Smartlook or Hotjar and analysed what your visitors are doing on your website?
Yes I'm using Hotjar but I don't know exactly what to look for.
For example, the most clicked on the price page on the home page:
https://ibb.co/KLW4sGz
After the price page, the How it works page received 5 clicks:
https://ibb.co/ygMSxVz
What exactly do I need to focus on?
All right. You need to look for similarities. Do the majority scroll to a certain point and then leave? Then either they didn't get enough information fast enough, or the price point was wrong.
So yes, try and look for similarities in the recordings. 🙌
Nobody wants to be monitored.
Nobody wants to get up early in the morning, spend hours in traffic, come to work and sit in front of the computer for 8 hours like a prisoner and then return home with the same terrible traffic.
But we do this out of necessity, life conditions require it.
Companies have to make money, if there is a problem they have to solve it.
People have to be happy, some people can't voice their problems, they cover it up. When he voices his problems, it is too late and he has resigned.
If an employee has a problem and it is a valuable employee, wouldn't it be nice to know about the problem in advance and find a solution for the employee?
If somebody doesn't want to get up early, they can find a job where they can start later.
If you feel like a prisoner find an occupation and job that you can enjoy.
If your employee doesn't talk to you about his/her problems, do you really think you can solve them in advance by just peeping at them? Are you serious or is it just a joke?
How are you marketing it? are you dependent on organic reach or working with paid media as well?
No ads, visitors came from here in the last 28 days:
Source - Sessions

indiehackers.com - 348
google - 96

reddit.com - 41

A total of 70 people came from Google search engines, but 99% of them came by typing "MonitUp". I can't get visitors from Google with my correct keywords yet.
Okay, thank you for sharing :)
Hey! One thing I'd note is drawing more attention to your demo. I can see currently you've only got it in the menu at the top and in the footer of your website where it doesn't stand out that much. Might be worth a try to maybe put a CTA to that below the email submission form to see if that'd affect engagement -- demo's go a long way!
Hey,
I need to make some improvements on demo account. I'm thinking of adding more understandable data.
In fact, there are sign-up buttons for CTA just at the top and bottom of the page. Do you think these are insufficient? Should it also be inside the demo account?
If visitors choose a package from the checkout page, I actually sign in from a user and direct them to sign up.
I meant demo as in including a CTA for folks to book time with you for a walkthrough of the product and the chance for them to see it in action with you live and give them the opportunity to ask any questions as well.
Also good opportunity to put a face to your prospects and have 1:1 time with them can be quite a powerful thing!
On the cc aspect -- requiring this upfront can be a huge barrier sometimes, no matter the price point. Maybe A/B test with one not requiring cc and the other as it is, see what happens?
Is it paid for sign up
Nope, you saving your credit card to start Trial but it doesn't withdraw money. After 7 days, it starts to withdraw automatically.
