I have an idea - what do you think of this?

A platform which aims to connect You-tubers and fellow creatives who are looking to collaborate through work, based on a swipe left / right system that aims to utilize GEO to connect the nearest creatives to you.

what problem you trying to solve?

When you're starting off and you are looking to create something, for this instance You-Tubers, you're always looking into videos for how to do this and how to do that, feeling quite isolated... If there was a platform that enabled you to connect with these people who are in your position or further down the line in something more structured than a facebook group it could be of great help and help you and that indiivdual... Meetups are great but you don't have the access if you're not in the 'right' city + Groups don't offer collaberative opportunities in this way

I love the idea. I have often wondered who are the other YouTube creators in Los Angeles. I don't like the idea of swiping as it's too close to the dating apps and feel disingenuous so better to offer a way to connect in a more meaningful way

Awesome, I'm going to give this more thought. Yes I agree it's not great, I'll give this some more thought as I think I might be onto something - If not to collab advice is crucial and there are somethings you can't learn from a video

My off the cuff response that's just a hunch: I think you'll find far fewer creators than you expect are looking for collaborators.

Oh really! To be honest, there are a bunch of people at a smaller stage which I personally think would love to network / create in a collab... If not for creating something together but for advice.

A database without swiping would be better, imo. It's not dating- the people who dont seem to fit your purpose one day might fit in the near future. Dismissing through swiping might cause bad blood or lead to the wrong attitude....

Thanks for the thoughts, you're right it shouldn't be based on dismissing them eternity as you may one day want to sync up... Maybe it pushes them out of your flow and then you can schedule if you would like to see less of this type of person

I hadn't actually thought of it, to be honest, having just thought of this idea! Perhaps starting small running ads in local areas asking for people to come forward if they're up for being added to a database-style thing - then ask them a series of questions... Chicken would be turning this into a platform based on GEO's
