Would like to add a blog to my webapp, dont want to build it and want something free, what do you recommend? medium?
If medium, whats the best way to make it look as if it was part of my site?
Amy experiences? thanks! :)
my app is a node.js/express app
https://ghost.org/, also written in node.js
Apparently ghost is a foss nonprofit with a business plan. I love that!
You can use Vertex 360 for this: https://www.vertex360.co
In your case, the way I would do it is create a project on Vertex then link it to a subdomain on your site, such as "blog.yourdomain.com". For a single site, that should be 100% free. You can also download the source off of Vertex and reconfigure it using Node/Express because all sites are scaffolded using Node & Express
you can setup wordpress host it on Amazon Lightsail or Digital Ocean at $5/month.
Get the WordPress theme customized by a freelancer to match your website theme. Wordpress is powerful.
You can hire Wordpress developer from https://www.truelancer.com/wordpress-freelancers
Why are they so cheap? Their hourly rates are often under 10
The Hourly Rates of Developers in Asia is 50% lower as compared to US /Europe due to the low cost of living and based on the average wage.
Also, Wordpress setup and customization is a relatively easy job.
Truelancer brings the best developers from Asia to everyone.

Nope! Better do it as yourcoolwebapp.com/blog for SEO reasons.
Vote for this too. But it can be a problem to run a separate app on the same domain.

Because subdomains are indexed separately and it will not improve the indexing of your site.
