8 Business KPI Metrics You Should Be Measuring (And How to Improve Them)

Kyle @kylegawley

I've just put the finishing touches to a brand new article listing 8 KPIs that you should be tracking. I've even included some strategies for how you can improve each of them and grow your business.

It's got everything from growing revenue with the mysterious 80/20 rule to keeping your customers happy with prompt response times.

What else are you tracking? Any metrics I've missed? :-)

  1. 1

Nice read @kylegawley - would be nice to mention churn rate, and measure referral metrics.

  2. 1

Just misses the one metric that rules them all: growth.

Improving the activation of existing customer base vs. acquiring new active customers is different.

    1. 1

Haha, yes! I didn’t think I needed to inform people that growth was an important metric 😊

Great article! Also as a side note, awesome app too! Everview looks amazing. What tech stack did you use to create it? Did you leverage any templates or other technology to increase delivery time?

    1. 2

      Thank you 🙏🏻

I used a full stack template: https://usegravity.app (which is actually another one of my products).

The stack is React + Node + MySQL running on Heroku :-)

https://usegravity.app/ looks super interesting! I assume you're just deploying the same codebase you have? I'm looking to building something like this but with landing pages. Do you have anything online that details how Use Gravity works under the hood? Could you give a short description? Thank you!

        1. 2

@yaroslawbagriy Yes, you can use the code as a foundation for your own commercial product providing it's not the same product repackaged :-)

Does the DEMO%10 coupon still work?

          2. 1

Of course :) Thank you! Again super innovative, I love the what've done with this.

            1. 1

Thank you :-) The DEMO code was only active over the weekend I'm afraid.

        2. 1

Yep, Everview uses the Gravity codebase.

Under the hood there is an MVC framework running on Express with a token authenticated REST API.

          1. 1

By purchasing the Gravity codebase, do you actually receive the source code?

              1. 1

How long did it take to build this? Might look to purchase, but $500 is hefty price. I know I'd save a lot of time, but that's what I have more off hah. Much more than money.

                1. 1

I've been working on it for over a year now

                  1. 1

Are you still working on the pricing or is it set in stone now?

                    1. 2

I recently put the pricing up – I'll be continuing to increment it as I believe I'm undercharging (Bullet Train are charging $1,450 for example)

                    2. 1

@kylegawley so if I purchase the Power plan i can use the code commercially in my own SaaS project without paying anymore?

      2. 1

Thank you! Great stack BTW. Awesome product!
