A disappointing 8 votes on the Product Hunt launch. I want to continue to market the product to increase the amount of traffic coming to the website.
In terms of technical improvements - Next up is to change to OpenAIs new o3 model, which promises to give better results than the current gpt-4-turbo model and is cheaper.
PH means nothing. Suppose you don't have any relationship with Hunters who have dramatic followers or are making a trade with them. You can not be featured by upvotes. There were some guys who approached me on my launch day to make a trade for a lift up to a high position.
Patience and don't give up. Find other similar platform or solution

Yes, based on their guidlines. However, there are some hidden rules still existed. You can have a look on some products featured or on top at launching day. You might see this. Plus, if you ever launch a product in PH, some guys will reach you out for being on top ranking
It's alright. I think PH is just one of the tools you can use to get some traction. Keep marketing and keep your head up!
Enter other platforms similar to PH. Register in directories. Then write SEO compatible blog. That's what I did and I have a SaaS that brings regular MRR.
I like the problem that you're trying to solve. there have been countless times where I tried using google photos to identify a location after seeing it on influencers post on IG

Consider allowing users to give quick feedback on their experience to gain the necessary insights. I for example tried it with a photo and it didn’t work (wrong continent even). That’s why I didn’t upvote. Keep it up!

If you want to give it for free for life, yes, it's disappointing. This should have been viral to proof your concept.
If you want to charge for this app, PH means nothing. Maybe your audience is not there. You have to discover who is your audience. Who need this tool and why would they pay for it? That's much more important than PH.
Thanks for the reply! Solving a personal problem I had was the main driver behind the app, if it makes money too that'd be great. But yes, finding the audience and growing the traffic is the next steps.
