✅ Added a noise pollution filter to http://nomadlist.com so you can find 🌲 silent places:
Loudest countries:
🇮🇳India: 80 dB
🇻🇳Vietnam: 71 dB
🇰🇭Cambodia: 71 dB
🇮🇩Indonesia: 64 dB
Most silent countries:
🇨🇦Canada: 30 dB
🇳🇿New Zealand: 30 dB
🇯🇵Japan: 31 dB
🇷🇴Romania: 32 dB
That's crazy!
I'm curious how is that calculated.
Probably in Canada, if you go to the middle of the mountains it is silent.
But if you go to Toronto you may get some noise.
Surprising Romania :D
As heard from where??
As a future enchancement you could also add some UV Index data (average and max) available via www.openuv.io
Where do you source this data? Also, how can you boil down the whole country to a single number, what about city centers, suburban neighbourhoods, tucked away places in city centre, etc. I've look a bit into NL, and I've found these kind of data which look great, work great as a filter, but have little to no real world useful data. Still, I admire that you ship them regardless since it may be helpful to someone. Do you see them useful in some way that I'm missing? Thanks :)
