Hey all, I'm interested in starting a side project Idea that I've had for quite sometime, but don't really have any coding experience (iOS idea) under my belt and was looking for some advice on where to start. Any would be a great help. Thanks!
An alternative to coding is prove demand, perhaps by making some small mockups, or writing blogs posts and sharing it over instagram/twitter to gauge people's initial feedback. Who knows, you might even be able to start building a decent following, and by showcasing your hustle, and your desire to solve a problem, it becomes easier to get others to join you.
Before becoming a programmer, I have used WordPress, Shopify and some business starter kits for a non-programmer. This post may help you also.

The best resource I know is The Big Nerd Ranch. Their books are top notch.
I don't disagree with the feedback from others about doing the simplest thing you can to test individual business ideas. That said, the sooner you start learning technical skills, the sooner you'll be able to experiment not just with this idea but future ones too! It's not a bad job skill to have as a backup, either.
I would encourage you to validate your Idea first, go out in public and showcase the app in form of a quick prototype (or MVP). To get the best results, you have to specify your customers and ask the right questions. There are some awesome books out there like Lean Startup by Eric Ries, Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder and The Startup Owner‘s Manual by Steve Blank.
Additionally take a look at how Drew Houston, (CEO of Dropbox) started with an MVP, collected Email subscribers, went out to investors, build a team and started to develop Dropbox. Short summary: https://youtu.be/fq7DVQImqVg.
I also don't have coding knowledge but I can suggest you to watch some videos on youtube and read some blog's so you can get some awesome ideas.
Thanks for all the info, I really appreciate it!
start by making interactive mockups. Don't waste time on mvp. Refine the concept on paper 1st. and experiment and take ads out to see if people have an interest.
There is some no-code platforms to make apps, maybe starting with that just to test it out?
Ah, that's a good idea. Do you have any off the top of your head that might be useful?
