How do you find artists, designers, etc. ?

How do you find artists, designers, etc. ?

Have any makers, founders, or indie hackers chosen to hire a creative to work with them (contract)?

I'm wondering how you went about doing it if you did.

Any information would be helpful. I have some data from the main audience for www.folyoz.net , but am curious about your take!

Thank you

I look through Behance and Dribbble very carefully, and I am trying to find designs which are appreciated by the community. Then I am contacting with these designers.

I'm sort of in the same boat but with a different niche. Mine is more focussed on selling images that are a small budget or for small projects. So far, I've tried Behance and Twitter (good place to try).

I’ve used Fiverr for budget illustrations, but it’s almost never worth buying cheap (less than $50) and I would say more than 70% of them are imposter. Make sure to talk things through and make sure the designer understand your requirement thoroughly, if you sense that they don’t 100% understand your requirement, just turn them down don’t waste your time. Also, a lot of them have fake reviews, trust only the negative review.

Go check out UpWork -- https://www.upwork.com/

It's one of the top spots for any sort of online freelancer. If you want someone you can meet in person, Craigslist is probably your best bet.

Side note - If you haven't hired or worked with any creatives, tell me how you would go about doing this, and if you have ever felt the need to!
