Hey indie hackers,
I just recently launched a simple SaaS MVP and would really appreciate any feedback y'all might have: https://www.screenlapse.io
I know the landing page needs some work, both from a design and copy perspective, but I'm not sure exactly where to go with it. However, the basic product functionality is all there in only 3 weeks of development (including some very long days/late nights).
Appreciate any thoughts you might have, and I'm open to any questions of course!
Reverse your 2 text areas around. I'd rather first learn about the features/USP's (unique selling points) THEN if I was interested I would read how it works. :)
Also see if you can utilise the horizontal space. I'm on a 32" 4K monitor, yet I had to scroll down to read your info (imagine how this impacts smaller screens + mobiles etc).
EDIT: Make the screenshot the second thing I see on the page. The first thing should be your H1 "Take Website Screenshots Automatically Every Hour, Day, Week, or Month "
That's super helpful feedback - I'll get on that today. Thank you!
Looks really great! I agree, the landing page needs work - I would personally lead with the pain points and then offer a solution. Perhaps just a headline followed by checklist of annoying things that need automating.
I think you are onto something for sure. This could be a great SaaS!
That makes a lot of sense, I'll get on it. Thanks for the feedback and encouragement!
There's the portion that says, "Automate repetitive tasks like checking your website's search engine ranking, page speed, etc."
It wasn't clear to me where that information was being provided.
Sorry, I don't understand. Where what information is being provided? That line simply means that you can use the app to take screenshots of analytics web pages at set intervals rather than remembering to visit them and log the data manually.
Oh I see I thought that when you screenshot a page you're going to also get historical information about things like page speed. But instead, you'd screenshot a page that gives pagespeed info about your site. Gotcha.
Look good, but I couldn't register, telling me that my gmail address is not a valid email...
Hey Stefan, ah sorry to hear that. I'll fix that now. Would you mind sharing your email address with me so I can make sure it's fixed?
I'm guessing you have a "+" in your address, just realized that's not working.
Great, works, cheers
No, it's something like abcde.fg@mail.com

Ah okay, thank you. I just implemented a fix that allows "+" and "." in email addresses, so it should be all set if you care to retry :)
