$8M Founder seeks Tech Co-Founder for SaaS

I’m the founder of an $8M/yr e-commerce business that sells on Amazon, niche European marketplaces, and Shopify. We’ve identified a major pain point that existing solutions aren’t solving. So I’m launching a SaaS tool to fix it for thousands of e-commerce sellers, just like us.

The domain name, MVP specifications, full Figma design and prototype are ready.

What I bring to the table:

  • Proven experience in building a multi-million dollar business.
  • I live and breathe this problem, so I know exactly what’s needed.
  • Expertise in marketing, hiring, and scaling.
  • Fully bootstrapped—I’ve got the funding and potential customer base.

What I’m looking for: A technical co-founder to fully own the technical side. You’ll get equity ownership and the chance to build something big.

I am looking for a REAL partner and not an employee. I tried hiring senior devs to build this project, but there was always a lack of commitment.

The tech stack for the MVP will be:

  • Front: React + TailwindCSS
  • Back: Need to be discussed. Probably Node.js or RoR.
  • Deployment for the MVP will be Heroku.

If you know someone who is passionate about solving real, complex problems. Let’s talk!

I'm not sure that you deciding the tech stack your co-founder is going to use is a wise choice. I think it could potentially lead to get more employee vibes than co-founder ones since you're dictating what they should be using instead of saying "you'll own and decide tech stack". I could be wrong, but I personally wouldn't feel a co-founder if someone isn't relying on my expertise and experience to, at least, discuss the stack before starting. Best of luck with the search!

By 2028 most SaaS products will be obsolete. Hi Kris,

Your project is impressive, and I see a lot of potential in the solution you're building. I’m a technical founder who has built a production-ready global SaaS platform, which includes multi-tenant commerce features that could potentially give your solution a head start. I’d love to explore the possibility of partnering as your technical co-founder and discuss how this platform might be adapted to fit your vision.

Let’s connect if you’re open to chatting further!

Hi @Krisl1995, Congrats on the success of your e-commerce business, your SaaS tool sounds interesting.

I used to be a RoR developer but since 2 years I've switched to building MVPs with No-Code tools, primarily Bubble.io + Xano.com

--> You can launch much more quickly build, test, and iterate the MVP without spending a ton of time & money. Pure Bubble stack is the quickest to build, but if you have a bit more time you can pair it with Xano.com backend to build really scalable and affordable solutions for thousands of users.

Happy to chat more if you want to explore this route! My email is tom@minimum-code.com

No one has. The guy either forgot he posted here and does not check his emails (because IH sends them on new comments) or he is really not interested and was just testing the waters for some engagement. Makes no sense nonetheless.

yea agree, i joined IH and the very first thing i saw is this post, felt like destiny.
But anyway, that's how life is.

    Hey Kris,

This opportunity sounds incredibly exciting, and it resonates deeply with my background and ambitions.
I’m a tech professional with solid experience in full-stack development and a passion for solving complex problems in e-commerce.
I fully agree with your vision for a technical co-founder, not just a hired dev. I’m committed to owning the technical side while working collaboratively to ensure we hit every milestone and scale effectively. I want to be involved long-term and bring the same level of passion and dedication as you.

Let's plan some meeting and talk through this more.

We built several SaaS in RoR. But after adding AI to our new one, we switched to Python. Architectures are changing. In the future AI agents will be 55% of a SaaS build. We can consult. We have 30 years of enterprise software architecture experience mostly in J2ee.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for a co-founder. Not an agency.
