9 different types of campaigns we send

I'm going to share w/you 9 different types of campaigns we send for our clients.

Most are only familiar w/a few of these buckets (holidays, special offers, etc)

I hope this helps! This might be easier to view on my Twitter since it shows actual email screenshots/examples: https://twitter.com/ecomchasedimond/status/1254156251111415808?s=20

  1. New Product Launch Email

@brooklinen does a great job w/this email below promoting their new towel colors.

The email is super clean & simple. The header photo is actually a GIF that I posted in the comment below.

This is a great format to emulate for your next new product.

Displaying the GIF that is in the email above.

  1. The Holiday/Celebration Email

@VersedSkincare does a great job w/this email below promoting their Mother's Day offer.

The subject line was perfect: Treat your mom (even from afar) and I love how they incorporate the moms of their team members into the email. This makes the

email feel more personal & is a great way to push products via social proof.

They provided enough options so that way there is something for everyone w/o pushing so many products that people become overwhelmed.

Free shipping + free product w/purchase $35+ is a great as well.

  1. Educational / Blog Related Content Email

This is an email we created for our client @AndarWallets.

This email is super relevant to the current time that we're living in and provides some great WFH tips.

The email design is clean and easy to navigate.

  1. The Special Offer / Flash Sale Email

WellWell is a brand I consulted for during Q4 of last year. Their execution to this day of the insight & tips I gave continues to amaze me.

This is a super well done Special Offer / Flash Sale Email. The email looks great and the copy

is so on point.

From top to bottom:

  • They address COVID (this was sent a few weeks ago) in the best way they could've.

  • The 5 sections of text and associated products were executed perfectly as each of their drinks has a functional purpose. I.e. Sweating during home workout?
    Use our hydration drink.

Pair their recovery drink w/tequila or other alcohol to try to prevent the hangover.

Well done WellWell!

  1. The Current Event Email

Ironic that this example isn't going to be as current but it's my favorite example of how successful a current event email can be when done correctly.

Our client @thechivery crushed it with this email for the Super Bowl.

This email was sent shortly after The Chief's won the most recent Super Bowl. Email performed well due to the timeliness of it, the apparel designs are cool, and this is so fitting for their audience.

Know your audience and pair merch/apparel/products with relevant things happening in the world.

  1. The Celebrity / Influencer Partnership Email.

While I understand not everyone has a budget like @givenchy to part with a celebrity like @ArianaGrande, leveraging micro, & macro-influencers in your emails is a great alternative.

Emails like these are incredible social proof.

This particular example is 🔥

I can only imagine how well this campaign performed.

You can feature a few influencers that have purchased from you or even ones that you hook up w/product in exchange for content & permission to promote them via email/social.

  1. The Giveaway Email.

This email is pretty common/standard nowadays. For those unfamiliar with this strategy, here it is:

Companies will either run a solo giveaway or partner w/other brands (like the example below).

Each brand participating must promote it to their audience.

So the benefit of running a group giveaway is you get potential new audience members.

However, giveaways can be a hit or miss depending on the brands you partner with & the prize(s)

In this example, 5 brands partnered to push it.

  1. The Bundle Email.

I cannot stress enough the importance of creating bundles. This is one of the best things you can do to increase your AOV (average order value).

See the example from @ArtofSport below.

Their products normally range from $8-$12 which make it tough as a biz

to scale paid media. AOS obviously has funding behind them but the higher the AOV, the more room you have to get aggressive driving traffic.

This bundle shown above is $73.40 which is reasonably priced in my opinion for all that you're getting.

We have been on our clients like hawks to get them to build bundle offers which have been very successful.

  1. The Gifting Email.

This is definitely related to and tied into the Holiday/Special Event bucket mentioned previously.

The obvious gifting opportunity now pertains to Mother's Day.

Here's an awesome email from @OutdoorVoices.
