Anybody used Chrome Webstore Payments?
The fees are pretty good at only 5% and they seem to collect and pay appropriate taxes? However the documentation seems really out of date and there is no indication of what the user experience will be like. Alternatively looking at Paddle for a single yearly subscription, however it doesn't seem appropriate for monthly payments due to transaction fees.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I can see the payment button is just under the 'Try it now' button. When I click on it, Google already has my payment info, etc, which is quite convenient.
However, I would prefer to get the user to install the app, try it out and then present them with payment options in separate page or dialog, as this model is a bit too upfront for me.
When you click to "Try it now" the extension simply asks you for authorization and license verification. Afte that you can use full version 7 days (a trial period)

That's fine. Think about the use case before you change it, perhaps the model the Google offers actually works? Sometimes people like to see a price upfront. Other times I worry it might put off people, so it might be better let them try it out and if they like it then offer up the price. What do you think?
I think that it is necessary to make tests A/B and after that make a decision
Used Chrome Webstore Payments once for a client project. The documentation isn't great but it works nicely once implemented.
