99% of MVPs do not cost more than $5,000 to build
If you are a non-technical founder and you hire a dev company or purchase a service to build your MVP and it costs more than $5,000 than you probably aren't building an MVP.
I just had a call with a founder who is interested in our platform after they paid a company to build an InVision app for $15k. I mean it looks nice, but not worth $15k nice!
I think you're spot on and I would think there are plenty of IHers that might do it for less as a chance to partner up with someone.
